Down to our last day in Japan! It was really a sad day because I enjoyed so much in Japan, such as their culture and definitely their food!
Anyway, I guess being the last day in Japan, my body decided to leave some souvenirs there too ah. I experienced bad cramp in the morning and Mr. Z jumped out of bed immediately when I told him weakly that I was in pain. He boiled the water and prepared my heat pad, all within a minute! Heh, I must have shocked you badly though that wasn't the first time you encountered my bad cramp personally. Hahah!
Oh, then Tokyo decided to give me a souvenir too by allowing me to experience a minor earthquake. I thought it was our neighbours pushing the wall behind our bed and I thought nothing about it. Watched the news after we got back in Singapore and realised that it was actually an Earthquake. HAHAH! My dad was very worried and told Bro to catch up with me but I had already texted my Mum to ask her about her buys before that. Quite hilarious. Another funny thing was, Mr. Z slept like a log and he didn't feel any quakes at all! Hmmm. So that's how my virgin earthquake experience! Thankfully the magnitude was low, and thankfully I thought I was unwell / giddy and I didn't wake Mr. Z up. Thank God nothing happened!
Ok, so we packed our luggage, checked out and deposit them into the lockers at the main station before we started our last minute shopping!
I really like the fact that all (or almost all) the stations have lockers for people to deposit their luggage in so that they can continue their shopping in peace!
In search for the last bowl of udon in Japan before we flew back to Singapore but sadly, there wasn't any recommended restaurant so we anyhow whacked on normal restaurant and erm... The broth was too sweet to my liking.
Proceeded to Calbee+ but they don't sell the freshly baked potato sticks. I was contemplating whether to spend some time to Harajuku for it and Mr. Z decided that we should since we had some time on hand and also because we love the potato sticks so much that we didn't want to regret not eating again! Hahah
Retrieved our baggages and off we went to the airport. Not a very pleasant journey because it was peak hour and we boarded the wrong train when we purchased the express tickets. Ugh, I was pushed out of the train by the commuters. What the x! The train that we boarded terminated many stations before the airport station. Sian, and we ran to the check in counter the moment we alighted from our train. We were left with only approx. 45 minutes before the counter closed.
Checked in, and then the next adventure started. We bought snacks and suddenly heard an announcement about our flight. Good game, we were still choosing our snacks at the shop. So we rushed to the counter to pay, ran to our gate which was freaking far (read: FURTHEST) away from the shop. I even took a Snapchat video (it was still trending at that time!) and Bro texted to ask if we've boarded the plane. Hahah, I love adventures... Not. We were panting like mad once we settled down.
Anyway, following are the snacks that were recommended by friends / family to get back from Japan.
1. The chocolate snacks that one of my friends recommended! It's really good but the biscuits are soft and the crumbs will drop easily so do eat with cautious if you have it at home!
2. Tokyo Banana - Chocolate & Caramel
3. Potato fries - THIS IS DA BOMBZ!!! Please freaking buy this whenever you visit Japan. It's only available in Hokkaido and Narita Airport! Tried searching for it in Tokyo but to no avail. Thankfully Narita Airport sells EVER-Y-THING!
No proper photos because we were rushing for our flt and when we were back, these were gone in just a few days' time! Hahahah!
