Our Sixth Anniversary,

Current mood: ambivalent!

I'm currently feeling happy that Bstats MST was over last night but at the same time sian that I've made a few stupid mistakes for the paper (excluding those that Idk) and that assignments are next in line right now to complete by Wednesday! So stress, 有没有?

Gonna throwback to the anniversary dinner we had last month.

Our anniversary falls on the 18th of February every year. Despite having a break in between, we still decided to go back to our previous date because we love #18 as a couple! We celebrated our 6th on the 17th of February this year as 18th was the eve of CNY and we both had our own reunion dinner to attend. On a side note, this is the first time we ever celebrated our anniversary in such a way. Hahah!

So, weeks before our anniversary, Baby made a reservation at a restaurant at a place that I've always wanted to go - The White Rabbit located at Dempsey Road. Despite the fact that it was inconvenient, everything about The White Rabbit was still worth going! From the beautiful interior design to the ambience to the fine dining experience to the food and wine! It was nothing short of perfect! Oh, just that the photos turned out to be super dark because of the lighting there, hence some of the photos below (after editing. I'm damn bad in editing the lighting!!).

So, our red wine came first. Guess how did the man decide which wine to order? He goes by the most expensive one thinking that it'll be the nicest! Me, not knowing which wine is nice (because Baby is more experienced than me!), I gave him the rights to decide. Who knows that the red wine would be so strong for me!! Zach said it was okay for him until the last few mouths. Hey, my head was feeling a bit weird after drinking 2 small sips of wine. Zach then said he should've let me tried the wine tasting instead! Gave him the remaining half of my red wine because I didn't want to watch a movie while feeling tired.

Starter next! I know we shouldn't but I rlly love foie gras. So, we ordered Foie Gras Duet and boy, it was one of the nicest I've ever eaten! I was the first to eat and my eyes opened wide because it was rlly awesome! According to the waiter/manager, the left foie gras in white was cold, with sea salt, while the normal looking one is hot. I forgot which was supposed to be eaten first then the other! But in anyways, it's rlly good!

Our mains followed by! Both Zach and I ordered Char-grilled Brandt Ribeye with the choice of bearnaise and truffle sauce respectively. Oh, we ordered medium steak btw! Couldn't see truffle sauce but it's brown in colour and of cus, truffle sauce is the better choice! ;) Zach even had to kope some of my sauce to his portion of steak. HAHAHAH! The size of the steak was just nice for me! Loving it! Again, photos don't do any justice here!

Our sides came. Oh, when we were making our orders, the waitress asked if we want any sides. I replied by saying "Yes, one truffled mac and cheese with mushrooms." and she laughed by saying "I knew it!". Apparently, this is the must-order dish at The White Rabbit. Yes, 没错! It was indeed one of the to-die-for dishes! Pardon the photos below. Told 'cha I can't edit photos!

Last but not least, our dessert!! I think it's very easy to knw what dessert I'll get because my taste is very standard! We had Chocolate Fondant that comes with a macaron! :)

I couldn't stop!
It was nearing 10PM by the time we finished our dinner. I was feeling bloated and my crop top and maxi skirt were tighter. I can't rmb how much the bill was. HAHAH! All I could rmb was: I enjoyed myself and I love the food there. And that I wna go back someday during the daytime for their lunch menu!

I'll be back!

Had to rush for our movie at Cineleisure next. Ah, 50 Shades of Grey. Yes, it's my first R21 movie. No, I don't enjoy the movie. The first thing I told Baby after the movie ended was "I don't like this movie" :/ Too much torture yo! Sorry, it's just me being me :/ Headed home via cab after the movie. We thought we'd reach my place at about 3plus but we made it before 3AM!

Till then!

Korea Day 8: A Day With The Driver,

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY!

Day 8:
One week passed so fast when we were in Korea. It's our 8th day in South Korea, 3rd in Jeju Island. On this day, we decided that we shall hire a private cab so that we didn't have to flag for cab after visiting each place. Flagging for cab in Jeju Island can rlly be a bij! They were nowhere to be found esp when the places are beside small roads and big roads are quite a distance away from the place!

I can't rmb how much we paid for hiring a cab for 8 hrs. All I could rmb was, we had to pay hard cash........ But it's okay! Bcos we managed to go to 6 places (excluding lunch). Oh, anyway we hired the cab thru the hotel's receptionist and the driver's name is 将先生, a Chinese-speaking guy.

Jeju Mini Land
TBH, I kind of regret coming to this place. The admission fee was 9000W each (about SGD11). It's not the money that I regret. It was the weather. It was raining heavily since morning and there's nothing much that we could do because we were wrapped up with raincoat and I couldn't even take a proper shot of the mini stuff. Managed to take a few with my phone camera.........

Trick Art Museum
Decided to head down to a tourist attraction that is indoor so that we didn't have to take a brolly/wear raincoat - Trick Art Museum (8000W each). Damn! I just realised that the admission fee in Singapore's TAM is so expensive :/ It was only SGD10 in Jeju Island. Okcanz! It's a good thing that we've visited the one in Korea. Anyway, we spent approx 3hrs here because there's rlly a lot of things for you take photos, not to say, having fun too!

I can haz long legs too HAHAH

We can also do single handstand yo!!
And climbing the wall too!

Seongeup Folk Village
Proceeded to Seongeup Folk Village next. Oh, it's free admission. There are a few ajummas (aunties), who are also the residents there, were there waiting for tourists to appear and be their guides. 大长今, the famous K-Drama was filmed there. And apparently, the statue (as seen below), known as "grandfather stones" (dolharubang), is built during wartime. According to the ajumma, Jeju Island had more females than males during that time as the men were all sent to war which led to many death rate. In order to scare their enemies, they built these statues and lined them up along the sea line. Their enemies would then think that there were many men protecting the area and wouldn't dare to do anything. This is why many of such statues were seen in Jeju Island. Also, you are advised to touch the nose of this status if you wna have a baby boy. Hahah!!

No photos bcos I can't find any that can be shown. HAHAH!

LUNCH
It was lunch time and Zach and I were craving for ramen at that time so we requested the cab driver to bring us to a good ramen place for lunch at Yeondong Street. I was full of anticipation until........ I saw the photo on the wall. It was our version of maggie mee! It was a rlly small maggie place too!

No, we weren't that happy as seen above! I was telling Zach wthell?! This is ramen? The ramen I wanted was like what we had a few days ago man! LLST was what we had in our minds. The noodle was spicy too! Oh my!

SEONGSAN ILCHULBONG
The cabbie parked his cab at the carpark of Seongsan Ilchulbong for sightseeing. Wanted to go for hiking but nah! I wasn't in proper attire and I think I would freeze to death if I had done so! It was alrdy so cold for me just by standing at the carpark to take some photos! I had to even tell Zach that "Let's go back to the car cus I'm freezing!"

JEJU FOLK VILLAGE
Proceeded to Jeju Folk Village next at 8000W each. No photos again bcos it was raining heavily again!! Okay, I think my comment for anything that has the word "Village" would be okay lah / nothing much!

MYSTERIOUS ROAD
Came across a site that talked about the mysterious road where cars will continue to go uphill despite having its engine switched off! The cab driver demonstrated with a bottle full of water.

This also marked the last destination we went with the cab driver! He then sent us back to our hotel via a super duper dark road. Oh my! The expressway in Jeju Island is so freaking dark! They don't have street lights at all and it was scary to see the oncoming cars coming at high speed! :/ I had no choice but to make myself sleep during that journey.

Had our dinner at a RAMEN place near our hotel to satisfy our cravings because of our lunch! During lunch, we were feeling pretty sad as we thought it was our last day in Jeju Island which means one lesser day in Korea. But as I was looking thru our itinerary, I was like... "Baby, do yknw that we actually have one more day in Jeju tomorrow?" Our eyes brightened up! I was laughing at Zach because he skipped a date in our itinerary and that explained why! But well, yay to one more day in Korea! Hahahah!

First MST of the semester on Friday (the day before yesterday) - Marketing paper. I was like wthell are all these the moment I read the qns! It was indeed a tricky paper! Throwback: Grandma's 80th,

Hello March!! You approached a lil too fast!

Came here while I was halfway revising for Marketing. It's been 2months since school has started but I'm still in a holiday mood. CNY made it worse when I had 11 days of break during that week. Anyway, 29th November was the celebration of Grandma's 80th birthday (also the day when Bro and I had sunburnt due to frisbee competition)!

The dinner was at Yan Palace Restaurant, a Chinese restaurant at Upper Cross St (Chinatown). We had a room for more than 20 people (3 tables) to ourselves!

The following images were all sent by Regine! ;)

This was probably the first time that we celebrated ahma's birthday in a restaurant. 80th birthday! Of cus have to make it big, right? ;) I rmb the previous times were buffets at her house including Grandpa's birthday.

寿桃 which was actually quite hard :/

Roasted suckling pig which was full of fats and oil!!!

Oh! Did I mention that there's a karaoke system in the room? Family bonding sesh!! It's like some k sesh. Initially, everyone was shy bcos it's either we don't sing or ya... We were just too shy. Until Marcus' girlf, Kelly started the ball rolling! And then... There's my Dad! He even had his own version of Happy Birthday song for Ahma. Well, sort of!

It was the cake, birthday singing and photography sesh!

See how cute my grandma is!

The adults w Ahma.

Side track a bit... Zach's hair looks nice here! Hahahah

Featuring my whole family!

And my cousins!

Last but not least... With Ahma and 2 of my irritating men arnd my age!

Truly blessed with the people I know since I was born!
