Taiwan Day 9: Food and more food,

It was our 9th day in Taiwan. Our itinerary that day was supposed to be at Taipei 101 for the observatory tower but the weather was rlly bad so we decided to postpone to the next day!

Look at how bad it was!

So we changed our plan and took a cab to Cafe Waiting Love. This is the cafe where the movie filmed at! Hahah, I was kinda excited but we had to wait for about 30-45mins when we reached. So, to kill time, I started the camwhoring sesh. HAHAH!

We didn't order much for this because our plan for the day was to cafe hop around the places that were in our itinerary. So we ended up ordering only...

阿布斯特调

+ apply & cinnamon waffle + Green tea milk w/ adzuki bean

Not a fan of green tea but Baby suggested buying ordering smth other than chocolate milk (or similar). So yep, I tried and erm... I ended up giving B the whole cup hahahahah! He had so much to tank other than my green tea! But overall, the dessert there was nice! Worth it!

Headed to Yong Kang Street for more food after this. When we exited the station, we saw long queue from far and damn! It was the queue for Din Tai Fung. I think we waited for a good 30 mins before we managed to enter the restaurant. We were led to the 3rd level. Thankfully, there weren't too many people on that level.

Settled down and we ordered the following:

Stir-fried spinach with bean curd sheets (NT$240)

Truffle and pork xiao long bao (NT$450)

Pork chop noodle soup (T$190)

Braised Beef noodle soup (NT$230)

Much love for this truffle xlb. It was our first time trying this because Singapore didn't have this yet at that time. So, it was smth new for the both of us. And damn, it was rlly good! Though the price was steep, I wouldn't mind trying it agn because it was rlly good!! Anyway, we kind of over ordered again. Hahahah! We nvr learn our lessons one leh! Tsk!

Exited the restaurant and saw this sight of Taipei 101. Argh, how to go you tell me!!

Our stomachs were very full from the food that we stuff in DTF, so we couldn't go for 高记 at all. But I heard that this is what the locals would go for rather than DTF. Would definitely try Gao Ji the next time I'm back. Bro tried and he said it's nice! So yep! Recommended!

Walked a few rounds to digest before we decided to go for dessert at Patisserie La Douceur. It's a small dessert shop that's located at a quiet corner. A corner where not many would walk by?

I've no idea what this is called because it's written in Chinese. I can only read the first and last word "大x地" (NT$135). Hahahah!! It's a macaron that's filled with blueberry jam and a bit of chocolate. Nope, too sweet for us. Both Baby and I aren't sweet tooth :/

Headed to Shida night market after that. Wow, MORE FOOD!!!! It was raining heavily but no, nothing can stop us!!

Back to Ximeding and decided to buy more food back to our hotel room... Hahahah, totaly 吃不停 one!!

And yep! That's how we spent our Day 9 in Taiwan! :)
