Hong Kong Day 7: Back to Reality,

HONGKONG DAY 7 (aka back to reality):

On this day, we woke up w a very heavy heart because it was our last day in HK. We woke up earlier than previous few days to do some last minute shopping. Cabbed down to Mongkok station because time was running out and I had to buy smth that Bro had asked me to buy. Some hair wax thingy. I was kiasu and bought 4 for him. So cheap!

He was alrdy using 1 when I took photo

Baby and I bought a box of egg tarts each to bring back to Sg. It became damn nua when we ate it anyway. Luckily Baby and I tried before heading to the airport. The egg tarts they sell were damn awesome (duh!) that I think I can eat like more then 5 at one go (calories).

Checked out of our hotel and made our way to the airport via the hotel shuttle bus. Sigh. Had our lunch with the relatives at the airport (@ Maxim's Jade Garden) before we checked in.

Prawn fried rice (obviously not mine hahahah!)

Scallop fried rice!!!!

Char shao shu (?)

Checked in! And we were dumb enough to q at the wrong side. We q-ed for the first class entrance instead. #ifonly. Anyway, I think the choice of food by Cathay Pacific was great. The food was to my liking! I thought the food was good while Baby thinks that it's okay. Just like SIA, they served haagen-dazs ice cream as well. /Jumps with joy/

Our overall loots

Touched down in Singapore and I was glad to see my family waiting for us at the arrival hall.

Finally done with my 7days-journey in HK. Right now, I'm looking forward to my 4D3N BKK trip in May (with 4 girls and 2 guys) and 16D17N D1Korea trip in June (with Baby)! Actually, I can't wait to go and would love to be there right now to shop! But first thing first, I've to work for money before these two arrive. Sigh! I worked for only 5 days in a company (no names shall be mentioned!) and quit on my 5th day. This is my first time quitting a job because I was literally a stone in the (super small) office with no desk/chair at all times. It's time to find a new holiday job!

Anyway results were out ystd and I'm very happy that I'm able to graduate!!!

I shall conclude my HK post(s) with these two gifs! Just for your entertainment. LOL!

Goodbye!

M'sia trip x Arthur Ho Cutie's 1st Birthday,

Started working since Wednesday. But nope, not gna talk about it yet.

Warning: Click back or whatever if you do not wish to see too many photos (or rather me instead of Arthur Ho Cutie)!

Entered M'sia on Saturday (15 March) for some shopping with Baby and his family. I think I woke up the earliest amongst them: as early as 515am bcos according to B, his aunt will reach my place at 7am. Being the super slow-action kind of girl before leaving house, I will always need a good 2hrs to prepare myself. Yes, I'm damn slow.

The traffic flow was quite bad. It took us 2hrs to enter M'sia. But considering the fact that it was a wkend morning, I think 2hrs was still okay. Had lunch at a Bak Kut Teh coffeeshop. Baby and I think that it wasn't that yummy :/ No pictures throughout the JB trip anyway. Ng Ah Sio Bak Kut Teh and Song Fa are so much nicer! I can only compare with these two bcos I had these recently.

Manicure (not me), visited one of their relatives' terrace and shopped at Jusco. Nothing caught my eyes as I wasn't feeling good. Bought only a packet of white coffee for my family (I dislike coffee) and a packet of snack for my mum and that's it. Had lunch at a restaurant, some kind of Chinese restaurant where they served super tiny abalone and scallops. Hahah. Left M'sia at about 4plus in the afternoon. The jam wasn't that bad now, 1hr+. We reached Singapore about at 5pm. Thanks to Baby's Aunt who sent us to Sylvia's place for the celebration.

Attended Arthur Ho cutie's 1st year birthday celebration at the common area. Haven't seen this boy for almost 3mths. Luckily Constance was there to accompany me. Helped out by collecting the birthday cake with Con at Pine Garden and prepared for cake cutting sesh when we were back.

The king of the day!
I was feeling real tired that day and good thing Con sent me out to the bus stop to take a direct bus back home.

Slappy Cakes x BKT,

8th March 2014:

It's a must to head down to SIM to submit some hardcopy documents after online application. There's no choice but to head down (with Baby). But who knew it would turn out to be a wasted trip. I brought photocopied documents when what they needed was the original copies. I went back with my parents on the following Monday and I was told that I have to make 2 more trips to complete everything.

Impromptu decision to go to Sentosa to collect my RWS membership card. I started acting like some tourists and got niam-ed by Boyf. HAHAH!

And since it's near lunchtime, we decided to go for Slappy Cakes after the collection. We are gna try Nook in future to compare between these two.

I was kinda surprised that they actually served brkfast meal too. Hahah, I thought it was supposed to be all pancakes, pancakes and pancakes... I was so wrong. And since the utensils came before the ingredients for our pancakes, we decided to play with them before it's too late.

We ordered a bottle of chocolate batter and whole grain batter. Needless to guess, chocolate was ordered by me. But, personally I think whole grain is so much nicer after tasting it. We had chocolate chips, banana, crispy bacon and lavender honey syrup (?) to go along with our pancakes.

This is rlly sour for me.

& the playing of pancakes starts now (D.I.Y.)...

Left Sentosa to meet Baby's family at City Sqaure Mall for dinner at Ng Ah Sio Bak Kut Teh. But before that, we had our fun at the arcade to relief our childhood times by playing Street Fighter (or smth).

I've been wanting to patronise this place since quite some time ago and finally!!!!! The soup was a lil spicy for me bcos of the amount of pepper but I like the shiok-ness of pepper in my soup. Contradicting much. There's pig liver in our order as well. I prefer pig liver much more than kidney. Pig kidney has this texture that I think it's kinda scary. Too smooth for me. Overall, my tummy was damn satisfied with the dinner I had that night. Next in my list shall be Outram Park Ya Hua Rou Gu Cha Restaurant.

I'll be starting my holiday job from tomorrow onwards. The working hours are very long and it's from Monday to Saturday. But I guess I've no choice but to endure with it till mid May. What's impt is the journey. It's located at the central of my area. No travelling of bus or trains are needed! It's just for 2 months! $_$

Till then.

Hong Kong 6: The Peak,

HONGKONG DAY 6:

WARNING: LONG CONTENT W SPAMMED PHOTOS!

Headed over to 18 Grams for our brunch. Part of the reasons why we decided to go to 18 Grams is because of the reviews. Another reason's because the number 18 is a very special to the both of us! We had quite a hard time locating 18 Grams (after Library Cafe). Anyway, it was a very heavy brunch to the extent that I was still feeling quite full by our normal dinz time! We both ordered as if it's free and ended up being damn bloated.

So, these were what we ordered... Please don't be shocked by the amount of food we had on our table. Yes, it's A-L-O-T! And we regretted after some were served.

Bacon Egg Croissant

Aussie Brkfast

Hot Chocolate

Hot Coffee Mocha

Chocolate Sin Cake (It's rlly damn sinful)

Tiramisu

Not to forget 4x hashbrowns at the corner of the table!

The total amt.

Yes, SGD61 (+/-). We were shocked by the total amt bcos we didn't think before ordering! That's the result of being too greedy + 2 very bloated stomachs. LOL! Headed back to Library Cafe to get the chocolates that we didn't manage to buy back when we were there. Again, those chocolates cost a bomb and one of them expired before I could ever try it. Haish!

I'm left w only this in my fridge T_T

Headed down to Sneakers Street where I got my maroon low-cut Converse sneakers at a slightly cheaper price than in SG. This adds to the Chuck Taylor high-cut I got at Times Square. Baby bought a pair of maroon Vans sneakers which I love it so damn much!

Then it was one of the places that I anticipated the most. The Wax Museum and The Peak. The queue for the bus was like the snake game (provided if you can play till damn long) and we had to wait for at least 2hrs before it was our turn. So Baby decided that we should take a cab up and indeed, we reached within 20mins!

Here are some of the photos that we've taken in the museum. HAHAHAH!

Singapore's!
Proceeded to The Peak, which is nearby, after visiting the museum. It was only 9̊C at the park on that particular night so basically we were just about-to-freeze anytime. . Luckily the extra heat packs out that Baby brought alone came in handy! I love being up there despite the coldness. The view was spectacular.

This two don't do justice to the view.

The cold forced us to find a refuge to warm ourselves so we went for our late dinz after approx half an hr ltr at Tsui Wah Restaurant. There's an inside joke between Baby and I about this :/ I swear their cups are damn cute (to me)!

My surprisingly-yummy chicken rice set

Beef Fried Noodle

The temperature seemed to have decreased by a bit after we finished our dinz. We felt colder than before and worst of all was, the q for the tram was damn long and it's an outdoor q -_- I think we waited for at least half an hour before we were able to get a into the shelter. Torturous moment of the day. So we finally boarded the tram. It was scary at first because the tram was tilted at 45 (degree) and going at a backwards direction. It was exactly like the ride of Revenge of the Mummy in USS (without it being going at a fast speed though).

Can't help but to capture this agn.

Back to hotel and crashed in the wee morning!
