Taiwan Day 3: Kaohsiung to Nantou,

YAY! Finally submitted my first ASSignment of the semester! One burtz off my shoulder!!!!! Ok, not rlly. I've to start on the second assignment tomorrow after the lecture :( Why so stressful one! This is the first time I ever have like two individual assignments in one semester. I had only one indiv and grp assignment back in my first sem. Then with only one grp assignment last semester! This time? 2 indiv + 1 grp assignments! zz

Anyway, it was Colour Run 2015 ystd! I shall update about this some other days! Back to my TW trip now!!

Day 3:
We woke up early for the complimentary breakfast agn as it's our last morning there! Back to our room and prepared to check out of the hotel.

A photo with my 2nd favourite car
Took a cab to the Zuoying main station for HSR (approx. TWD200) to Taichung HSR.

Off we go!!
There were a group of cabbies waiting at the lobby area at Taichung HSR. Anyway it's a shared trip. So if you reach the lobby early, you've to sit and wait for a few more people before the cabbie decided to leave. Luckily Baby and I were the last passengers to reach hahahah! Didn't have to wait at all. We shared the cab with another couple who were going to another villa.

Oh, the villa we stayed for one night was Starry Villa. So, the cab fare was about TWD450 per pax. I think it was a bit more expensive as compared to the other couple bcos our villa is situated right at the top of Nantou. Much further than other villas there. Starry Villa was recommended by my bro. It has a rlly magnificent view (!!) but the journey up to the villa was actually very very very scary!! Texted Bro about it immediately after our cab drove through the super narrow road WITH NO FENCE AT THE SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN! WTFUCK! To which my Bro replied with a super long "hahah".

The hosts were super friendly! Not sure to say if they are the hosts or owners of the minsu. Oh! They also have a friendly husky which I didn't dare to get near it. But I managed to touch its super soft fur because Baby assured me that it won't bite and because that's his favourite breed. Hahahah! The driver then drove us down to the market near the CingJing Grassland as both Zach and I hadn't had our lunch.

I didn't like that market because it was full of houseflies -_- Finished our food within minutes and left because I couldn't handle so many houseflies arnd me. Houseflies 1 - 0 Eileen No photos of the place & food because I don't like it!

Proceeded to the farmland after that. Shall let the photos speak for now:

And so the mehmeh show began!
Look at how the dog chased after the sheeps!!

Went in to the souvenir shop and decided to buy ice cream that's made of goat milk to try! Hahah, according to Baby, he said that there's a smell. While I rlly enjoyed the ice cream a lot. Thought that it tasted a bit like vanilla ice cream.

And then it's feeding-the-greedy-sheep time!!

HAHAH, this is funny. Zach is so evil pls!
It's my turn now!

As one can see, obviously Baby was more calm than me. So much calmer*! Hahah! It was my first time getting so close to a sheep, let alone feeding it! That feeling of it when the warm saliva touches my palm and when the tongue tickles my palm to get their food. Hahahah! Anyway, it was also my first time touching a sheep in Taichung. It feels dirty actually. Too thick. Hahahah! But cute!

Left the farmland because we had to reach the meeting point at 5plus to meet the driver. But along the way, we found a very pretty spot for photography. Hahahah! The backgrnd is rlly pretty! Everywhere in Nantou seems to be a good photography spot because it has mountains and pretty clouds and the weather was superb!

The way down to the meeting point was disastrous! We had to walk 400 or 450 steps of stairs down. The impact on my knee cap was so bad and our legs turned jelly by the time we reached the last step! Took a break at the hotel nearby for the aircon before we walked to the meeting venue.

Saw a stall selling pretty chocolates and couldn't resist it! I ended up buying one of the pops seen below and a box of 9 of chocolates!

Dinner was provided by the minsu. It was a simple steamboat session but I think it was good because I was famished by then. Anything on the table was good whenever I'm hungry. Hahahah!

Night view was pretty!
Anyway, we got the room with the best view. The owner of the minsu said we could wake up at 530am to catch the sunrise if we want too! Baby and I decided that we should wake up to catch it together. But ah... Me being the pig and love to slp, I decided to continue slping while B went out to capture it with my camera. HAHAH when I woke up, I asked him how was it and this was his reply: there mountains in front blocked my sun! There's only light but no sun seen. HAHAHAHAH! So cute! So it's a good thing that I cont'd slping lah.

The room wasn't exactly nice but it's cosy and it feels like home. But one thing bad abt it was the toilet. It has those flies that's attracted to the lights. Thought I could enjoy my shower time after perspiring so much while walking to the meeting point, but I couldn't when I kept seeing those flies on the ceiling.

Spent only a night there and we had to pack our luggages the next morning before we left the place. Good thing we stayed there for only a night bcos we managed to cover the places we wna visit in just one afternoon!

Will be back for Day 4 onwards! Time to read up on my OT stuff now! Goodbye!

Second Time to Istana,

Hello! Sometimes I wonder if anyone does read this blog. But anyway, it's a platform for me to jot down my events so that I can look back one day if I ever forget about it. HAHAH!

One day, Zach asked me if I'm interested to visit Istana. To which I replied, yes. The last time I went to this place was like 5 years old? All I could rmb was the huge hall in the main building. So, it's actually a good chance to visit again as there was this open-house going on. I'm glad that it didn't rain that day. Just that, it's a bit too sunny! :/

This is a super long stretch of road before we reached the park that has many booths/game stations. It's only a few mins and I was already perspiring. It goes to show how warm (with a bit of wind) it was that day!

Games stations from several museums

Can never resist pretty backgrnds! (This is a candid shot by accident)

Then we saw this patch of grass and Baby suggested lying down. But...... He looks so natural pls while me?!

Too near, too fat!

I love fountains since I was a kid. Anywhere with fountains can always lighten my mood. But perhaps, not rlly that day? The sun was too merciless. But okay lah, still feeling good because everyone arnd me was happy. All smiles and laughter!

We thought we could enter the main building after this stairs (above). But we didn't know that we had to queue to purchase tix to enter. The q was quite long but I'm amazed by how efficient it was! It moved so fast and we got our tix in just like, 3mins!

No photography is allowed in this building, hence no photos! The displays inside are like, gifts from other countries. All over the world!!

Left the Istana to chill at Starbucks/Llao Llao before heading down to Orchard for my skincare products at The Face Shop where I spent $130++ there! Dinner was with Zach's family at Mr. Kim KBBQ!

Tada! I'm done and now it's my turn for dinner! Mum cooked spaghetti. Goodbye!
