Japan Day 6: Nara Park x Kobe,

Hello,

Down to the 6th day of my Japan trip with Mr. Z!

On this day, we visited Nara Park where we had fun feeding the polite deers as well as going for Kobe beef in Kobe (WOOHOO! THE BEST BEEF EVER!!!!).

We started our day with a breakfast meal at Dontour, a fastfood restaurant in Dotonbori.

It was rlly early, hence my nonsense mood.

Done for the meal and we headed to the subway for our train towards Kintetsu Nara Station. No recollection of how long the train ride was but I rmb falling aslp yet again! HAHAH! I can never stay awake while travelling whenever Mr. Z is arnd because I know I'm safe with him. HIAKHIAK! Ok, we talked about it recently and he said he felt a bit stressful because he couldn't nap because he has a responsibility to tkcare of a burden with him. HAHAHAH OK I DIGRESS!

Do not belittle this place. It's really DAMN huge!

Exit 2,

Walk towards the market,

Walk all the way to the end,

Follow this path and you'll definitely reach the park for sure!
We saw this signboard on our way to the park and it's actually quite interesting. It's actually to warn visitors that the deers at Nara Park have the chance of attacking people as they are, afterall, wild animals.

So the first box was a warning to tkcare of your belongings because deers do bite them. Second image says that they kick, third was butt and last image was knock down. I can't rmb the reason why we laughed at this warning signboard... I think it's the last image that cracked us up? But anyway, the deers there are really friendly as long as you don't disturb them! Duh, it's just like how you don't like others to annoy you right?

Arrived at the park to see quite a number of deers resting under the trees. And oh, you might wna lookout at where you're walking or stepping on because there's dumps everywhere!!!! Especially the grass. LOL!

Bought deer waffles

I can never be friends with deers :/

This particular deer follow Mr. Z for a good (almost) 5 minutes

Anyway, I was really afraid of the approaching deers especially if they come in a group. Really damn humji lah but I managed to overcome my fear, got closer to them and finally fed them comfortably!

You can take a lottttt of photos here in Nara Park but whether you are able to take a series of good shots is another thing. We couldn't manage to take good photos because, 1) the deers are not under our control 2) my fear 3) quite crowded

But overall, I would say that, one has to visit Nara Park when in Japan (or Osaka since it's nearer from Osaka)! It's also quite therapeutic watching the deers hoping/jumping/walking arnd or going to the visitors who purchased snacks LOL!

We headed to Kobe after Nara Park because, although it's not on the way, it's actually better to visit Kobe after the park since both are outside Osaka. So, might as well right?

But before that, we needed our lunch badly as we were famished!! Really super hungry I could eat 5 cows and also because I sensed gastric coming (I STILL RMB!!). We walked back to the market where we came from and we saw an udon eatery with quite a long queue. See lah, hungry still wna join the queue but tell you what! It was really worth it!

The place is quite famous even solo traveller came alone for this too because the person was sitting just right next to me! It's located at the end of the street and this is how it looks like from the outside!

When we saw the menu, we were quite amazed. Or rather me lah. Just look at how they wrapped the udon in the skin tofu!! Really not sure how they but I like to eat something that looks interesting! It will perk my appetite for sure! Untie the green veg (is that a spring onion??) and you will see the udon in it as shown in the following image. Oh, did I mention that the broth was really delicious?

Kin-chaku-kitsune

This is even more interesting. Being in Nara Park, they designed they skin tofu with a picture of deer on it. Sekyute!! Tbh, there's actually nothing special for the two bowls of udon that we ordered but because it's something that we haven't had before - the design and the wrapped udon - we thought it was quite an experience to try these.
Kojika-udon
Oh ya, just behind this udon place was the super famous matcha grinding place. Errr, Idk how to explain. The video went viral on FB before and if ydk what I mean... Scroll down for the images!

Any recollection?

Off to Kobe we went! We took the train there and as usual, I fell aslp on Mr. Z's shoulder/sleeves and erm, yes... I stained his sleeves with my makeup :/ Alighted at Kobe-Sannomiya Station. Yay, Kobe beef, here we come!!!

This is him reading my dayre

This is my bb cream and everything LOL!

This is Kobe
We were in search of the best Kobe beef in town but erm, it seems like any restaurant along this stretch would definitely be good leh. No idea which to patronise, we just looked at the boards and prices instead. Came across one that's called "Steak Land", googled and it told us to go for it!

So here we were!

Compliments on 4Sq,
They gave us the starters before appetiser - salad, salmon slices and sauces. Love the salmon so much but that's just the beginning! The best had yet to come!

Tbh, we didn't know what we were ordering. We ordered because the staff recommended if not wrong? Hahah but you won't go wrong with their recommendations! Just that, you've to be prepared to leave the restaurant with a super bloated stomach! HAHAH!

We ordered two of the same set and it was really a lot! Starters, appetiser, mains, dessert! And of course, the bill was expensive too! But it's all worth it!!! Freaking worth it!

The beef literally melts in your mouth. It's the best beef I've ever had so far in my life. It's really tender, soft and smooth. I didn't have to worry about not being able to chew or that it comes with soft bones. Really love it! More in the vlog below!

Really recommend people who are gna visit Osaka to go for the authentic Kobe beef! We saw restaurants selling Kobe beef in Osaka but we felt a bit skeptical. Like, what if they just use the word "Kobe" to earn more money? Or what if it doesn't taste as good as the one in Kobe? I mean we wouldn't know if we hadn't gone to try the one in Kobe but I still feel that it's best to go to the landmark that sells the delicacies first before trying it elsewhere so that you can compare the standards. Just some of my personal thoughts.

Anyway, we headed back to Osaka after dinner and it was already 8-ish PM. Bought Pablo because I've been wanting to try for soooo long! And this can totally be compared with Baked Cheese Tarts!!

好吃 好吃 真好吃!

Time for #EYnYZ travelogue! :)

Till then!
