This is so gna be long post ahead because I'm gna squeeze everything into one entry! Have fun!

DAY 1

We flew to Penang via JetStar at about 3PM. We reached Penang at about 4plus reaching 5PM. For our accommodation, we stayed at Mango Tree Place Hideway. It's a place that it more suitable for couples instead of family stay. However, be warned not to open the balcony door because there are many pots of plants and erm, mosquitoes as well! :/

We checked in at almost 6PM and after the staff briefed us on the recommendations of what to eat and where to go in Penang, it was alrdy almost 7PM. We flagged for a cab and headed to Batu Ferringhi Beach where we had our dinner at Ferringhi Garden Restaurant.

We bought their house wine too!

Grilled Alaskan Black Cod

Char Grilled Salmon

Dessert: Poached Pear Pie

Anyway, be prepared to spray lots of insect/mosquito repellent if you're sitting at the non-airconditioned area because even though we had the repellent on, we still got bitten and as a result, we ended up with many bites on our legs and arms... What a memorable candlelit dinner we had!

We walked a bit and decided to cab down to an area that is within walking distance away from our guesthouse for this plate of char kway teow!

Quite a weird house rule but yep, the customers have to order at least one drink for each table I think? Would you rather get charged for RM0.05 or pay more to enjoy a drink besides your char kway teow?

DAY 2

We took the Hop-on Hop-off (HOHO) bus from a nearby bus-stop to Penang Hill. The wait at the bus-stop was long, man!!!! The weather was damn bad too. It was about 33 degree C and felt like 40 degree C.

It was truly an experience ah, but the sun was shining mercilessly at us so we decided to head back into the aircon area after these shots! Anyway, we saw this group of I-think-is-KPOP-group on another HOHO bus.

Finally reached our destination: the ticketing booth towards Penang Hill.

Who can say "no" to pretty walls?

We didn't stay at the hill for long because there's nothing much for us to see. I mean, the view isn't that nice that day because it was quite foggy despite the weather. I'm not sure if it's the haze or what but yep, it's smokey!

We'd wanted to go for Peranakan museum but the exhibition timing was closed at that time and we had to wait for the next one which was at arnd 4pm.

Since the timing wasn't right, we decided to chill at a cafe nearby and to make it up for the awful brunch we had back at Penang Hill. We went Cafe G Seventies - The Backyard to grab some lunch. It was a rather small cafe, with mosquitoes sighted as well :/ I think it might be due to the hot weather ah!! There were also a small pot of plants on each table.

The entrance at the alley

We felt so listless after that. We were almost falling aslp after the meal because we woke up too early and yeah, you've guessed it right again! The weather was freaking hot!!!! We decided to move on to the next cafe for some dessert which was nearby, one minute away from G 70s - Piknik.

Iced honey lemon

Black Magik

We were done with our meals and dessert and ready to chiong again! We walked to The Camera Museum since we've nowhere else to go, if my memory didn't fail me. The place was soooo cooling after spending some time walking under the sun! Oh, we also had a fun time goofing arnd in the museum! Hahah

Next stop: Chew Jetty. We took the HOHO bus to this area. This is a heritage area I think? There are a total of 7 jetties in Penang but we could only make it to Chew Jetty. Also, Chew Jetty is the most popular among the tourists! So kampung style, I like!! Just look at the photos, the life there must have been a very relaxed one!

We attempted the "Follow Me" photo hahah!

Boarded HOHO bus to Gurney Drive Hawker Centre where we settled our dinner! It's a very popular place not just with the tourists but also the locals! Google and you'll know what are some of the recommendations, which stalls to go and which not to, etc! Thankfully we reached quite early and there were quite a few empty seats as seen! It was all full by the time 7PM strikes!

The stall we bought CKT & Fried rice from!

Headed to the mall just beside the hawker centre and while walking there, I saw this muah chee "stall". The glutton me couldn't resist it. Bought, but we ended up throwing half of it into the bin not bcos it wasn't nice but we were way too full! If I hadn't had so much during dinner, I would have finished the packet by myself!! Hahahah

Cabbed back to hotel because the sky looked like it's gna rain anytime! The decorations outside the malls kept swinging as if it's gna drop anytime too! It was actually quite a scary sight for me! And bingo, it rained just when we reached our guesthouse! And this was how we spent our day 2 in Penang!

Okay lah, I think it's also very long for a post so I shall split it into two entries! Day 3 and 4 in the the following entry!

Gonna dye my hair later for work because I doubt the company allows red hair lah :/

G'bye!
